Currently, the doriq|REACH toolset is designed to store and manage knowledge content based on the TOGAF 9 Metamodel. This defines the various types of knowledge that are important to the progress of a TOGAF9 based Enterprise Architecture practice, and support the processes defined in our workflow model.
In future, it will be possible to extend the functionality of REACH, by defining domain-specific models (for content and processes). For instance, a user with a requirement to run a project support office will be able to define the processes (as workflow models) and knowledge (as metadata models) for this, and extend the capability of doriq|REACH to incorporate PSO activity.
This will not only enable the user organisation to benefit from the features offered by our tool, but will provide integration with the EA function where appropriate, since the EA and PSO models can share knowledge structures, and interact via workflows.
The REACH|Metadata component will enable user organisations to develop and implement metadata models for themselves in future.
This component is currently under design. At present, we are able to provide tailored extensions to the core product to meet user needs. If you have a query regarding the future use of this component, or have a requirement for a tailored extension, please contact us here.
