Currently, the doriq|REACH toolset is designed to manage the day-to-day tasks of Enterprise Architecture, using the process model defined in the TOGAF 9 Method. This specifies the tasks and interactions of an Enterprise Architecture practice, and the knowledge that is gathered and managed as it functions.
In future, it will be possible to extend the functionality of REACH, by defining domain-specific models (for content and processes). For instance, a user with a requirement to run a project support office will be able to define the processes (as workflow models) and knowledge (as metadata models) for this, and extend the capability of doriq|REACH to incorporate PSO activity.
This will not only enable the user organisation to benefit from the features offered by our tool, but will provide integration with the EA function where appropriate, since the EA and PSO models can share knowledge structures, and interact via workflows.
The REACH|Workflow component will enable user organisations to develop and implement workflow models for themselves in future.
